Unlike a pizza oven built into a van, ours is out in the open, covered by a bespoke gazebo, so we have plenty of space to set up a proper travelling kitchen. The oven reaches temperatures of more than 450 degrees centigrade, and is big enough to cook 5 pizzas at a time. With a team of trained staff and a finely tuned production process, that translates to a rapid 70 pizzas an hour.
Our menu includes simple and traditional, Cornish and quirky, decadent and indulgent. There’s an emphasis on local ingredients and we do all we can to support the environment with biodegradable packaging, foraged firewood and solar panels feeding our prep kitchen.
We’ve been lucky enough to get some fabulous feedback from our customers and in March 2016 we were featured in the Sunday Times list of top 25 pizzerias in the UK.
Who we are
We're Simon and Sarah Pryce, the husband and wife team behind Kernowforno.
Simon is ‘boss and baker’ and his career has seen him flying helicopters in the Royal Navy, managing the RNLI’s lifeboat stations in the South West and now, proudly serving authentic woodfired pizza. Simon is there in person at every event, rolling dough and, together with our great team, making sure that every pizza we serve is spot on.
