Events diary

The pizza wagon is out and about at weddings and parties across Cornwall and Devon, but here's a sneak preview of some of the public events we have booked early in 2016. Come and see us at an event near you.

Stiltskin Theatre Goblin and Fairy Festival, Devonport Park, Plymouth 16th and 17th April 11-5

Yup, it's our first time at a fairy festival but it sounds great.  Theatre workshops, storytelling, music, performances, face painting and all sorts of activities. a great family day out - and of course no need to bring a picnic because we'll be there, cooking woodfired pizza to order.

Fully Sussed off road racing cycling event, Newnham Park, Plymouth 22,23, 24 April

Such a great weekend of cycling, running, camping and eating!  With fun events for kids and beginners and some serious races for the cycle pros, we will be there providing much needed healthy carbs in the form of wood fired pizza.  It's not too late to book yourself in, whatever your experience level.  Whether you're a cyclist or supporter, it's a great event with a brilliant atmosphere.

LostFest Sunday 15th May

There is so much to love about LostFest.  In our home town of Lostwithiel, it's a free festival with an emphasis on live music, great street food, Cornish craft, street performers, historic enactments and a whole load of fun for the whole family.  Come by train if you can, that way you can taste plenty of local beer alongside your wood fired pizza.  We're proud of our community and it's a great day to come and be part of it.

Tuesday nights at The Meadows campsite, Pentewan 5.30-8pm - start date to be confirmed

We so enjoy our regular weekly spot at adults-only campsite, The Meadows at Pentewan. Just for grown-ups (for the record, that means no children, not adults-only in a nudge, nudge, wink, wink kind of way!) The Guardian recently recommended this site and we do too. The sun always seems to shine at the Meadows and most Tuesdays there's a mobile cocktail van too…. Come and drop in - you'll be made welcome.

Holsworthy Ales Open Night Saturday 25th June from 6pm

It's our second time at this brilliant microbrewery in Devon.  They throw the door open and welcome visitors to come and sample the joys of locally brewed beer.  How about a pint of Muck 'n Straw or maybe a glass of Make me Hoppy?  It's a relaxed, fun, informal night out and beer and pizza seem to be a winning combo.

Bontrager 24/12 endurance mountain bike race Newnham Park, Plymouth 22-24th July

All sorts of races to choose from - a 24 hour endurance race, a 12 hour daylight or 12 hour night race - none of them for the faint hearted! It's a great weekend whether you're a competitor or spectator. And we can promise to keep you well fed with freshly cooked wooded pizza - the perfect carb fix post race.

Tempted? Go on, you know you want to!

The Roseland August Trail, Porthpean 12th and 13th August

One for the endurance runners out there - a 64 mile, yup, that's right, 64 mile run along Cornwall's stunning coast path, kicking off at midnight.  If 64 miles feels a bit much, there are 32, 22 and 11 mile options too... This is an amazing weekend full of brilliantly supportive people achieving incredible things.  Post event there's local beer, music and pizza - all overlooking the sea at Porthpean.  It will be our third year at this event and we can't wait.

Sign up here - you don't have to do the whole 64 miles!

Lost In Folk, Lostwithiel Sat 17th September

Lostwithiel's first folk-fusion festival will be held at Lostwithiel's community centre and we're proud to be there, cooking up a wood fired pizza storm.  This one promises to be popular so I'd get your tickets early.

Dartmouth Food Festival, 21st-23rd October

Dartmouth holds a special place in our hearts and this is one of THE food festivals to visit. Against the backdrop of Dartmouth harbour, there is a busy programme of live demos, workshops and all things food and drink.  We'll be there, cooking woodfired pizza to order.  And if you have always wanted to know the secret to perfect pizza dough, book onto one of Simon's workshops and find out for yourself!
